Jemmell Lovette, Founder

The founder

Most people meet crypto through a price chart. I want them to meet it through understanding. Then I want to show the work in public, so the education has something real to stand on.

I started Next Coin Club because most people meet crypto at the worst moment: after something moves, while everybody is excited, and before they understand the machinery. Here, the first product is education. The public build gives members a real case study, and the community gives them a place to question it, understand it, and grow.

What crypto actually is

Forget the price charts for a moment. At its simplest, a cryptocurrency is a record of who owns what, kept by thousands of computers at once instead of by one bank.

When you send money through a bank, the bank keeps the ledger. It decides that your balance went down and someone else's went up. You trust the bank to keep that record honestly.

Crypto replaces that single record-keeper with a shared one. Every computer in the network holds the same ledger, and they check each other constantly.
